Belts Can Be Rather Handy

So.... I have been majorly slacking off lately... at least in consideration with my posts...

I'ma try n catch up...

Live 105's battle of the bands... at Bottom of the Hill...
was pretty awesome..
it sold out.. the line was down the block even at like 9...
Btw.. the show started at 8 and sold out around... 815?

the bands playing were... Broken October, Apside, Panda, Overview, and Two Left Feet

I missed the first song of Broken October's set 'cause I was stuck outside... but the rest of the their set was pretty good...

Apside wasn't all that bad either...
but then... that would be expected since they were in the top 5...

It was an older crowd and by older I mean... non-teens. But one must remember that it was a Monday night in San Francisco....
I also say older in comparison with the guys of Panda.
For their set it seemed that all the younger people in the venue came up front for their set.
They played great.
Explaining the title.... Johnny (Panda guitarist) was having some issues with keeping his pants up. They weren’t falling down falling down, but about every minute he was pulling them up... it was cute.... and kinda funny....
But anyways... Panda made the top 5 for the local band contest for BFD. They are in high school and were playing with a bunch of guys in their 20s. I know one cant assume the older the more talented, but if using that scale, then Panda is talented beyond their years.
They didn't win, but I say took second.... but I have a biased opinion of them.
So Panda was great, the boys are very talented, and they will always be brilliant

Two Left Feet was pretty good too. I dug the sound enough.

As soon as Overview began their first song, my friend Nick and I just looked at each other and knew... they won.
I'd checked out some of their recorded music and wasn’t too impressed, which is why I hadn't paid much attention to them in the past, but live they are pretty damn good.
... Their looks don’t hurt either...
Funny thing is.. as great as I thought they were then... I can't remember much of their set now..

So... 9 am the next day I got up, tuned in to Live 105, and waited to find out who won, hoping and wishing is was Panda, but knowing is was Overview.

And... Overview won....
It was very understandable... Overview is like the definition of Live 105.

So during the show... members of the other bands playing at BFD came on stage to help announce the next band playing that night. After Panda's set and the whole issue with Johnny lacking a belt.... Scissors for Lefty came on with some others.. And......
Lead vocalist, Bryan Garza, got pantsed!
It was quite entertaining... he had some interesting underwear on as well...
but anyways.... that kinda made my night....

Moral of the story: Invest in a belt.
